Music streaming has become one of the most popular ways for people to listen to tunes these days. With high-speed mobile internet and smartphones now ubiquitous, streaming apps provide access to vast music catalogs that would be unimaginable to carry around just a decade ago. Tech giants like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music dominate the market, but device makers also try to entice users by bundling their own music apps. Competition is fierce as apps try to differentiate themselves in features, price, and music discovery abilities. In this article we do a music app comparison and find out which one is best between Samsung Music, Mi Music, and Audiomack.

Samsung Music

Preloaded on most Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, Samsung Music aims to provide a seamless music experience for Samsung device owners. It offers both a local music player for songs stored on your device as well as a music streaming catalog of over 30 million songs.

Key features:
• Stream over 30 million songs with ads, or go ad-free with a Samsung Music Pass subscription
• Support for lossless audio formats like FLAC and ALAC for high fidelity sound
• Customizable equalizer and audio effects from AKG
• Sync and upload music from your computer via Windows and Mac apps
• Listen across all your devices, whether Android, iOS or on your PC/Mac

As a default app for Galaxy users, Samsung Music focuses heavily on deep integration with the Samsung ecosystem. For example, it supports seamless music transfer via Quick Share between Samsung devices. The app also has exclusive integrations with select Samsung wearables to allow offline music playback. As part of the Galaxy experience, Samsung Music tries to offer convenience and quality for users invested in the Samsung hardware ecosystem.

Xiaomi Music (Mi Music)

Preloaded on Xiaomi phones running MIUI software, Xiaomi Music (also called Mi Music) offers robust music streaming tightly integrated with the MIUI interface. As a homegrown app for Xiaomi’s Chinese user base, Mi Music has a competitive advantage in promoting Chinese indie music not well represented in Western streaming catalogs.

Key features:
• Over 5 million Chinese indie songs
• Songs organized by genre, era, mood and activity
• Streaming radio stations
• Support for FLAC high resolution audio
• Music video integration in the app
• Unique concert streaming and ticketing platform for Chinese artists

Mi Music aims to differentiate itself through Chinese music content and specialization in the cultural tastes of Chinese users. This can be seen in the app’s unique organization of music by mood, genre and activity rather than just artist or album. Mi Music also invests heavily in live concert streaming and tickets sales of trendy Chinese bands. As internet adoption grows rapidly in China, Mi Music’s localization gives it an edge in appealing to Chinese users.

Audiomack

Unlike Samsung and Xiaomi’s apps which come preloaded for their device users, Audiomack is a standalone streaming service focused on building its brand independently. With hip hop as its flagship genre, Audiomack positions itself as a youthful platform for unsigned artists and devoted music fans.

Key features:
• Leading streaming platform for hip hop & African music
• Popular with unsigned/indie artists
• Promotes rising stars through playlists and original content
• Share songs, albums, playlists via messaging and social
• Available across iOS, Android, and web

Audiomack’s biggest asset is its reputation among hip hop fans as a source for new talent and hot tracks. The app facilitates music discovery through its popular playlists, charts and recommendations showcasing rising artists. Audiomack also allows artists to upload their own music and share songs via messaging and social media. By facilitating community around unsigned artists, Audiomack has become ingrained in hip hop culture as a platform for early music discovery.

Comparison

Now that we’ve highlighted features of our three apps – Samsung Music, Mi Music, and Audiomack – here is a quick comparison across key criteria:

Music Catalog
With over 30 million licensed tracks, Samsung takes the lead here. Mi Music’s focus gives it an edge for Chinese indie music. Audiomack trails in raw numbers but shines for hip hop.

Audio Quality
For audio fidelity, Samsung and Mi Music offer lossless streaming with FLAC support. Audiomack streams at standard quality MP3 formats.

Discovery & Sharing
Audiomack is best for discovering rising talent and unsigned artists. Its community-focused sharing also gives it an edge. Samsung and Mi Music focus more on organization and search than social features.

Ecosystem Integration
With deep ties to Galaxy devices, only Samsung Music can match Apple Music’s ecosystem integration. Mi Music has robust but China-specific MIUI enhancements. Audiomack is more generalized across platforms.

Price & Availability
Pricing varies across free ad-supported tiers, paid subscriptions without ads, and lossless streaming upgrades. Mi Music and Audiomack are free with ads on Android devices. Samsung Music requires a paid pack for ad-free streaming. All three have premium tiers with additional features.

Which Music App is Best For You?

With an overview of features across our apps, which is best comes down to user preferences:

Samsung Music is great for Samsung device owners who want seamless integration, and lossless Tidal-powered streaming.

Mi Music gives the best experience for Chinese consumers focused on local content, indie music and concert livestreams.

Audiomack leads for hip hop fans looking to discover rising talent through playlists, original content and music sharing features.

For most markets outside China, Samsung Music and Audiomack offer the widest appeal depending on music taste. Mi Music is uniquely positioned to Chinese customers. Across all apps, the availability of free ad-supported tiers allows easy sampling before paying for premium subscriptions.

Conclusion

While category leaders like Spotify and Apple Music tend to dominate headlines, device makers like Samsung and Xiaomi offer compelling music apps catered to their ecosystems. With focused strengths like lossless streaming, Chinese content, or unsigned artist discovery, the “out-of-the-box” experience these preloaded apps provide can be tough to beat. For the right customer, default apps can trump the category leaders.

With diverging strengths across audio quality, music discovery and local content, Samsung Music, Mi Music and Audiomack each have solid footing in their target markets. For Xiaomi phone users in China, Mi Music clearly leads due to its local advantage. Among hip hop fans, Audiomack is a rising choice. And Samsung device owners get a seamless default music option with lossless streaming. There’s enough differentiation that each app carves out a niche in the streaming music landscape. I sincerely hope you find this “Samsung Music, Mi Music, and Audiomack Best Music Apps comparison” article helpful.

Music streaming has become one of the most popular ways people listen to music nowadays. With instant access to millions of songs and playlists at your fingertips, music streaming makes discovering and enjoying new music easier than ever.

But with so many music streaming services to choose from, how do you decide which one is right for you? In this comprehensive comparison guide, we pit three of the biggest names in music streaming against each other – Spotify vs Pandora vs Amazon Music. We cover everything from library size and audio quality to platforms, pricing and extra features.

Read on to find out which music streaming service you should choose!

Library Size & Song Selection

The number one factor that influences which streaming service most people choose is library size and song selection. The more songs available, the more likely you are to find the music you love.

Spotify currently leads with over 70 million tracks in its library. No matter what genre or era, Spotify aims to offer an exhaustive music catalog that has something for all tastes. You’ll find the latest pop hits rubbing shoulders with golden oldies and underground indie bands. Spotify also regularly refreshes its libraries by adding over 40,000 new songs every day.

Amazon Music has a library of around 70 million songs, putting it neck and neck with Spotify. Amazon’s music catalog features popular hits and old classics across many genres.

Pandora, on the other hand, has around 5 million songs in its library. However, Pandora relies less on a huge catalog and more on its intelligent music recommendation engine to surface songs you’ll enjoy. With Pandora, quality outweighs sheer quantity. Still, there’s no denying Spotify and Amazon Music’s vastly superior music libraries.

Winner: Spotify, Amazon Music

Audio Quality

Audio quality makes a big difference to how much you enjoy listening to music. Streaming services offer different audio quality levels, from standard definition quality to premium lossless quality for audiophiles.

Spotify uses the Ogg Vorbis format to stream music at various quality levels:

Standard quality: 160kbps
High quality: 320kbps
Very high quality: ~256kbps
Lossless CD quality: 1411kbps

Amazon Music also offers multiple audio quality options:

Standard quality: 128kbps
High quality: 256kbps
HD: 850kbps
Ultra HD: 3730-7200kbps

Pandora has lower audio quality overall. It streams music at:

64kbps for free users
192kbps for Plus subscribers

If sound quality is a priority for you, Spotify and Amazon Music outperform Pandora with streaming options that go all the way up to lossless CD-quality audio. Spotify’s premium “Spotify HiFi” tier (launching later in 2023) will offer lossless, high-resolution streaming for the ultimate audio experience.

Winner: Spotify, Amazon Music

Supported Platforms

It’s important to consider what devices and platforms are supported by each streaming service. The more platforms supported, the easier it is to listen to music on all your devices.

As the global market leader, Spotify offers unmatched support across platforms:

Mobile & tablet apps for iOS and Android
PC & Mac apps
Gaming consoles like PlayStation, Xbox
Smart speakers & devices like Amazon Echo, Google Home etc.
Smart TVs, smartwatches, AV receivers, cars etc.

Amazon Music also works across a wide variety of platforms:

Fire TV, Echo speakers
iOS and Android devices
PC & Mac
Gaming consoles
Select smart TVs, cars, wearables etc.

Pandora has apps for iOS, Android, computer, select TV platforms like Roku and gaming consoles. But its platform support is narrower compared to Spotify and Amazon Music.

Winner: Spotify

Price & Plans

Pricing is often the ultimate decision-maker when choosing a music streaming service. Let’s compare the pricing and plans for Spotify, Pandora and Amazon Music.

Spotify has both free (ad-supported) and premium pricing tiers:

– Spotify Free: Listen to music for free but with ads and limited features.
– Spotify Premium: $9.99 per month for full access without ads, offline listening etc. Discounted annual plans available.

Pandora also offers ad-supported and ad-free options:

– Pandora Free: Free streaming with ads.
– Pandora Plus: $4.99/month for ad-free listening, unlimited skips etc.

Amazon Music pricing:

– Free for Amazon Prime members: 2 million songs with shuffle play only access.
– Amazon Music Unlimited: $7.99 per month for over 70 million songs, offline listening etc. Discounts for Prime members and annual plans.

For budget-conscious music fans, Spotify and Pandora both offer decent free tiers. Pandora Plus offers ad-free listening at a lower price point compared to Spotify Premium. Overall, Amazon Music Unlimited offers strong value with a large music library at competitive pricing, plus free options for existing Amazon Prime members.

Winner: Draw

Discovery & Personalization

A great music streaming service recommends new songs and artists you’ll love based on your listening history and musical tastes. Let’s see how the discovery and personalization features of these 3 services compare.

Spotify is renowned for its fantastically precise personalization algorithms. Features like Daily Mix, Discover Weekly and Release Radar create personalized playlists packed with new song suggestions that seamlessly fit your musical profile.

Similarly, Pandora leverages its Music Genome Project to analyze songs based on musical attributes and understand listener tastes. Its recommendation engine is powered by over 1 million data points to suggest music you’ll enjoy.

Amazon Music offers personalized playlists and stations inspired by your listening activity. These include My Soundtrack (based on your listening patterns) and My Discovery Mix (recommended new releases). The recommendations can be hit-or-miss compared to Spotify and Pandora’s technology.

Overall, Spotify’s discovery features are best-in-class while Pandora also offers robust personalization capabilities powered by strong A.I. technology.

Winner: Spotify

Extra Features

In addition to core music listening, streaming services try to enrich the user experience by offering extra features. Let’s compare the value-added capabilities of Spotify, Pandora and Amazon Music.

Spotify offers:

– Podcasts & audiobooks: Stream podcasts and audiobooks from top creators
– Artist video content: Watch videos like interviews, concerts etc.
– Enhanced album pages: See additional album info like songwriter & producer credits
Concert alerts: Get notifications when favorite artists are touring near you
– Social sharing: Share music & playlists with friends

Pandora provides:

– Podcast streaming: Listen to popular podcasts
– Pandora Stories: Artists can add voice commentary about their music
– Comedy genre stations: Stations featuring tracks from top comedians

Amazon Music offers:

– Live streaming concerts: Watch select live concerts for free
– X-Ray lyrics: Read in-sync song lyrics as you listen
– Music videos: Watch official music videos from top artists
– Alexa integration: Use Alexa voice commands to control music playback

For the most robust overall experience beyond just music streaming, Spotify leverages its platform capabilities and partnerships to offer users the strongest suite of extra features.

Winner: Spotify

Verdict: Spotify Is The Top Music Streaming Service

And there you have it – our blow-by-blow comparison of Spotify vs Pandora vs Amazon Music! Evaluating the music streaming services across six key categories, Spotify emerges as the undisputed winner.

While Pandora offers robust music personalization abilities and Amazon Music provides value through integration with Amazon Prime, Spotify simply checks all the boxes:

Massive music library
Multiple high-quality audio streaming options
Support across every platform and device imaginable
Top-notch music discovery fueled by A.I. algorithms
Innovative extra features like podcasts and concert alerts
Competitive pricing with free and paid tier options

Its combination of an exhaustive on-demand music catalog, stellar recommendation engine, beautiful user experience, ubiquitous device support and added content like podcasts hand Spotify the victory.

So if you want the best overall package for music streaming, look no further than Spotify! Of course, personal preferences matter – so all three services have free trials to help you decide. Ultimately though, Spotify’s winning formula puts it at the top of the music streaming game.  I sincerely hope you find this “Spotify vs. Pandora vs. Amazon Music Ultimate Music Streaming comparison” article helpful.

Free Slide Show Maker With Music: The ever-evolving field of video editing relies heavily on music as its lifeblood. More than any other media, it has the power to evoke emotion, enhance tales, and keep audiences engaged.

It could be challenging to locate the perfect music for video projects, especially when resources are restricted. The good news is that you can find a ton of royalty-free music suitable for video editing on the internet, offering you a wide range of options that won’t break the bank. Let’s read below “Free Slide Show Maker With Music.”

The Importance of Music in Video Editing

Understanding the role that music plays in the editing process for a film is essential before diving into the vast sea of freely available musical compositions. Music has the power to set the mood, create an atmosphere, and guide the viewer’s emotional journey. A film’s soundtrack, whether it’s an adrenaline-pumping score for an action scene or a somber melody for a sorrowful scene, can make all the difference.

Setting the Tone

The ambiance of a video may be greatly enhanced with the addition of an appropriate score. It may make you feel something, ramp up the tension, or breathe new life into a stale situation. The music’s tempo, orchestration, and style all add to the video’s mood, which in turn impacts how viewers respond to and engage with the material.

Setting the Tone

An engaging story is crucial to the process of video editing. Using music to emphasize key moments, emphasize feelings, and give a regular beat may greatly improve the impact of a tale. Subtle background music or dramatic original scores can enhance the narrative potential of a video.

Captivating the Audience

Keeping your audience interested is more crucial than ever in this day and age of short attention spans. When music is playing, viewers are more likely to feel emotionally immersed in the story being shown on screen. A video’s potential to create an impact and be shared rests in no little part on the quality of its soundtrack.

Navigating the World of Free Slide Show Maker With Music

While there are plenty of places to get their hands on high-quality tunes for a price, not everyone has the disposable income to do so for every task. Thankfully, the internet is rife with free, high-quality audio resources made with filmmaking in mind.

Authorizations for Collaborative Work

Artists are able to legally share and redistribute their work thanks to the Creative Commons licenses used by many digital music archives. Certain limits on commercial usage, modifications, and other factors are built into various Creative Commons licenses. A knowledge of these licenses is necessary for compliance with the artists’ requirements.

Check out YouTube’s Audio Content

The YouTube Audio Library is widely mined for free musical cues used in video production. This website has a wide variety of songs available for download, so musicians may use them in their videos on YouTube without worrying about any copyright violations. The library’s user interface is uncomplicated, so it’s easy to go through and choose the perfect song for your task.

A free music archive is provided by the FMA.

The tracks in the Free Music Archive have been hand-picked for their quality, and you’re free to use them in any creative project. FMA provides an outlet for unsigned artists to market and sell their music to video makers, and the site’s collection features genres as diverse as classical, techno, hip-hop, and more. You may rapidly find music that fits the tone and style of your film using the site’s search and filtering features.

Jamendo

Jamendo is a marketplace connecting independent artists with music supervisors, editors, and other media professionals. While both free and paid licensing options are provided, the free music section offers a larger selection of tracks that may be used in various video editing projects. The platform’s advanced search capabilities allow listeners to zero in on precisely the kind of music they’re in the mood for.

SoundCloud

Because of its enormous network of musicians and composers, SoundCloud is a gold mine of free music. Thanks to the widespread acceptance of the Creative Commons license, the music of many SoundCloud artists is now usable in film productions. Users may search for and interact with other artists, as well as download and utilize royalty-free music in their videos.

ccMixter

ccMixter is a community-driven music sharing platform where users may upload and download songs that are licensed under the Creative Commons. Users have access to stems and individual components of recordings, making it a great tool for creating remixes. ccMixter is a collaborative music platform where artists share their work under a creative commons license for non-commercial use.

Download a Free Copy of Epidemic Sound

Even though a membership is required to use the majority of Epidemic Sound’s capabilities, there is a risk-free trial period during which users can stream and download songs. With this free trial, users may add high-quality music from Epidemic Sound’s extensive library to their movies without risk.

Tips for Choosing the Right Music

There’s more to making a good music video than just picking a catchy tune. When choosing the soundtrack for your video, bear in mind the following guidelines.

Understand the Mood

Determine the emotion you want your video to evoke in your audience. Music that suits the atmosphere is crucial whether the emotion sought is excitement, nostalgia, tension, or joy. The audience’s reaction to the video will be heavily influenced by the speed and intensity of the music.

Match the Rhythm

Make sure the tempo of the music fits the tempo of the video. An additional layer of excitement and intrigue might be added by a well-timed beat drop or a gradual buildup. The sound should complement the pictures rather than detract from them.

Consider the Genre

The video’s soundtrack should complement the mood and theme. There are some themes and emotions that work better with particular musical genres. Experiment with different looks until you find one that complements your film’s mood and plot.

Check for Alterations

While you’re editing, try out a few different playlists of music before settling on one. Examine the compatibility of various songs with the tempo of various situations. Using this iterative procedure, you may improve the efficiency of your selection.

Look for License Contracts

Please familiarize yourself with the music’s licensing terms and adhere to them. Creative Commons licenses may impose limits on commercial use or authorship. If you want to be on the safe side legally, read this carefully.

Overcoming Challenges in Free Music for Video Editing

There’s a lot of free music available online, but before you use it in your films, there are several things to keep in mind.

Differential Quality

The quality of music available at no cost varies widely. Some may have professionally recorded, high-quality music, while others may be rougher around the edges. Listening to a sample of the score to make sure it meets your standards is essential.

Licensing Difficulties

It may be challenging to understand and navigate Creative Commons licensing. There are several types of licenses, and some require you to provide acknowledgment to the original author while others don’t.

Constraints on Modularity

You might not be able to put as much of your own stamp on things if you rely only on free music downloads. Unlike premium selections that give specific stems and components, free tracks may arrive as full compositions, confining your ability to adjust the music to certain points in your film.

Discoverability

It might be challenging to find an audience in this age of unlimited free music. This might take a lot of effort to research and choose the ideal platform(s) for your project. It takes time and effort to locate the ideal musical accompaniment.

In conclusion, free music may help you edit better.

You may get free music for video editing from a variety of online resources, including the YouTube Audio Library, Free Music Archive, Jamendo, and SoundCloud. By learning about Creative Commons license, exploring a wide range of musical genres, and taking into account aspects like mood and rhythm, creators may effectively explore these resources to identify the appropriate soundtrack for their projects.

It is possible to overcome challenges like varying audio quality and intricate licensing with adequate preparation and investigation. The large repertoire of royalty-free music accessible online may help video editors save money without compromising on quality.  I hope you like reading “Free Slide Show Maker With Music.”

Is The Amazon Music Unlimited Price Included With Prime

+44 Podcast With Sideman and Zeze Millz | Ep 3 | Amazon Music

The Amazon Music Unlimited price is separate to your Prime membership, though you can save some cash if you own both in the US and UK. Amazon Music, a smaller service offering just over a million songs ad-free, is the limited music streaming subscription included with your existing Prime membership.

Amazon Music Unlimited Features

Amazon claims over 70 million songs are available on its service and the Music Unlimited home page points you to new releases, popular and recommended music and playlists.

We dont see any immediate gaps in their offering, and our search for more obscure music artists reveals a very good rate of success. After a slow start, the service has expanded its library of music videos too, although we wouldnt call it extensive.

As with Prime Video, Music Unlimited gives you the option of purchasing through its Digital Store, which mirrors the Digital Music section on Amazons website. Amazon scrapped its very useful Music Storage plans back in 2018.

Amazon Music Unlimited wont look or feel alien to anyone whos ever used a streaming service, or even a shopping website.

The dark interface has three main tabs: Home, Podcasts and Library. Your Home page is arranged in horizontal rows which showcase your most frequently played songs, playlists handpicked for you, songs you might like based on what youve been listening to and a range of playlists that relate to certain timely topics such as the Sounds of Summer.

Theres quite a lot going on and quite a lot of content to choose from and there are slight differences between how the desktop and mobile apps prioritise and order recommended content and playlists which can make for a slightly disjointed user experience.

About Amazon Music Hd

Amazon’s just added a new tier/feature made for audiophiles. Amazon Music HD gives Prime Music and Music Unlimited users the ability to pay a little more to upgrade their music to lossless, CD-quality sound.

More than 50 million of Amazon’s songs are available at a HD quality , while Amazon says “millions” of other songs are streaming at Ultra HD .

Amazon Music HD costs $12.99 per month for Prime members or $14.99 per month for non-members. Music Unlimited subscribers can tack it on for just $5 more per month. Amazon is offering a .

Music HD is supported by Amazon’s streaming on desktop and mobile , select Echo devices , Fire TV, and Fire Tablets. Also, third-party devices, including speakers from Sonos, McIntosh and Sennheiser.

And while more sounds nice, I know the question on your mind: do you really need to be spending that extra cash? To find out, we’ve compared both of Amazon’s services and even investigated how they stack up to the Spotify and Apple Music.

Things You Need To Know About Amazon Music

Derek Lamb

There are a lot of things to like about streaming from . As a must-have for those uploading music, the platform is also harnessing a growing fanbase and providing exciting new features, making it something that shouldnt be overlooked. Offering Amazon Prime, Amazon Music Unlimited, Family Plans and more its undeniable that they are one of the top streaming services available.

Here are 10 things to help you get to know Amazon Music a little better.

What Is Amazon Music

Lets get the basics out of the way, and quickly define Amazon Music for those who have been under a rock .Amazon Music is a digital music streaming service operated by the Amazon company. Launched in 2007, the platform quickly gained traction. Since then, Amazon have expanded their repertoire, added various subscription packages and improved their service. As a company that is used by millions globally, the next step was to conquer music streaming. Knowing the giant that Amazon is, just imagine the many great things that the company incorporates into their streaming service.

How Much More Does Music Unlimited Cost

Music Unlimited costs an extra $7.99 per month for Prime members.

Without Prime, you’ll spend $9.99 per month for Music Unlimited, though if you only want to use Music Unlimited on an Echo, Echo Dot or Tap speaker, that costs just $3.99 per month.

Prime Music
$12.99 per month or $99 per year $9.99 per month

What Does Music Unlimited Have That Prime Doesn’t

The first major difference between the services is that Prime Music only offers 2 million songs, while Music Unlimited offers “tens of millions” of tracks.

If you love to chat with Alexa, you’ll also prefer Music Unlimited, which allows for a stronger set of voice commands. For example, if a friend told me that Lorde’s latest record is amazing , I could just say “Alexa, play Lorde’s new album,” to hear it. If your needs are less specific, just ask the assistant to play music by an artist to get a playlist of that musician’s most popular tracks.

Music Unlimited also unlocks Alexa’s ability to name the song that’s stuck in your head. If you say “Alexa, play the song that goes, ‘You see what I mean?, USDA certified lean,’” it will recognize the tune as “The Man” by The Killers. You can also ask Alexa to pull up songs from a specific decade, mood or genre.

Amazon Music Hd Is Now Available As A Free Upgrade

This morning, Apple Music announced that it would be offering HD lossless music next month, for no extra charge. And minutes later, Amazon announced that Music HD will be available to all Amazon Music subscribers for no extra charge. Making the timing a bit suspect, but its a good thing for subscribers.

That means you can get for just $7.99 per month. Which is pretty impressive.

With Amazon Music HD, customers are able to stream more than seven million songs in Ultra HD, which is better than CD quality, with a bit depth of 24 bits and a sample rate up to 192kHz. It has added more than five million songs to its Ultra HD catalog since Amazon Music HD debuted in 2019. And it is continuing to add more.

Amazon Music Unlimited Compatibility

Amazon Music HD Setup Tutorial Best Quality Settings Audiophile Guide

Amazon Music Unlimited is compatible with smartphones and tablets via its Android and iOS apps PCs and Macs via either its web player or desktop app Fire tablets and Fire TVs some in-car entertainment systems Sonos multi-room wireless speakers Bluesound and NAD BluOS devices. Its worth noting that you cant actually access CD-quality music or hi-res tracks in Amazon Music HD through your browser, though. This can only be done through the dedicated desktop and mobile apps, which is no bad thing.

Up to 10 authorised devices can use Amazon Music on one account, although you can only play through one device at a time. Music can be downloaded to play offline on the iOS, Android and Fire tablet platforms.

Amazon Music Unlimited also works on its homegrown Echo and Dot wireless speakers, as does Spotify.

And Amazon has worked to further its services functionality, integration and intelligence with its voice-control assistant. For example, saying Alexa, try Amazon Music Unlimited gets you up and running with the service.

You can ask it to play certain songs, albums or artists or, for example, 80s pop.

You can even search by lyrics say Alexa, play the song with the lyrics hello, is it me youre looking for? and it complies even if it does choose a cover rather than Lionel Richies original. What cover is this? we ask. Zooey Deschanels from the Trolls soundtrack we are told. Like we didn’t know.

How Much Does Amazon Music Unlimited Cost

When it debuted, Amazon Music Unlimited lacked a free tier, much like Apple Music and Tidal. Not anymore. You can now listen to select ad-supported playlists and thousands of stations via the web, Amazon Music mobile apps, Echo smart speakers, and FireTV devices. Spotify’s free tier, on the other hand, lets you explore the service’s full 60 million-song catalog. That said, some albums only appear on Spotify Free after a two-week delay.

Of course, Music Unlimited also offers the industry-standard $9.99 per month premium plan for its ad-free Individual tier. Note, however, that Amazon Prime subscribers receive a discount that drops the fee to $7.99 per month on top of their $129 per year Prime fees. No, Music Unlimited isn’t included with a Prime membership. Amazon Prime Music is. More on that later.

In addition, Amazon has a $14.99 per month Family Plan that covers six people. This offering rivals Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, and Tidal’s similar packages. A massive 90-day free trialwhich cut down to 30 days for the Family Planis available for people who want to try before they subscribe. Amazon Music Unlimited’s trial period outclasses rival trial periods, except for the one offered by SiriusXM Internet Radio. That service also boasts a 90-day free period.

How Much Is Amazon Music And Is It Worth It

Amazon Music is probably one of the smaller streaming music services out there . But it is pretty cheap.

For Amazon Prime members, you can get Music for $7.99 per month. If you dont have Prime, itll be $9.99 per month. And you can get a family plan for $14.99. Previously, Amazon Music HD was $5 at $14.99 per month. So if you are a current Amazon Music HD customer, youll be paying $5 less for the same service.

Amazon Music is a pretty good service for streaming music. Though its catalog is not quite the size of Apple Music, YouTube Music or even Spotify. So do keep that in mind before making the switch. Its also likely that Spotify will be right behind Apple Music and Amazon Music in releasing lossless audio for the same price that it currently charges customers. So dont switch streaming services right away.

If you are an Amazon Music subscriber in the US, UK, Germany, Canada, France, Italy and Spain, you can upgrade to Amazon Music HD for free.

The Price Change Undercuts Competing High

Amazon’s high-fidelity streaming service, , is now available to Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers at no extra cost, the company tells Billboard. Amazon Music HD previously cost $14.99 a month while Amazon Music Unlimited, its most popular service option, is $9.99 a month .

The move is a first in the music industry, where high-fidelity streaming options routinely cost $19.99 a month before Amazon Music HD arrived in September 2019, forcing competitors like Deezer and Qobuz to lower the price of their high-fidelity plans to $14.99. . Now Amazon is leading the way once again, effectively cutting the price of high-fidelity music in half within two years.

It’s something we’ve all we’ve been wanting to do for a long time, says Amazon Music vp Steve Boom. When we launched, we already broke the mold by taking a service that had been $19.99 — and really just for the audiophile at that price point — and brought it down to something that was much more mass-market at $14.99.

Amazon Music Hd: What Do You Need

Amazon Music HD is compatible with iOS and Android devices, Sonos and Bluesound speakers, among many other devices

An iOS or Android device running the Amazon Music app, or any device that can access Amazon’s website. For streaming Amazon recommends, “A steady internet connection of at least 1.5-2Mbps for CD-quality streaming and 5-10Mbps for Hi-res.” That’s not too arduous in London, at least.

You can also download tunes for listening offline but it’s worth noting that CD-quality tracks are 4 to 5 times bigger than the equivalent MP3 and the UHD tunes are at least 10x larger.

What Is Amazon Music Hd

Amazon Music HD is a music streaming service from Amazon. But things can get confusing because it isnt the only music streaming service Amazon offers.

Theres also Amazon Music Prime, which brings Amazon Prime members free music streaming of more than two million songs.

If thats not enough, you can subscribe to this is an extra payment, even if youre a Prime member. Think of this as music streaming lite. With a membership, you can access more than 70 million tracks, listen to them ad-free, and download them for offline use.

Then theres Amazon Music HD. Think of this as a premium add-on to Amazon Music Unlimited, which brings you all the benefits of a music streaming service, along with CD-quality audio and many Ultra HD audio files.

that from now on, its high-quality streaming tier is going to be available to all Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers without an accompanying price hike.

Amazons announcement came on the same day as Apples. The brand announced a slew of upgrades to its Apple Music streaming service, including Spatial Audio with support for Dolby Atmos and the ability to listen to over 75 million tracks in Lossless Audio.

This means both Apple Music and Amazon Music might soon be the only music streaming services to offer hi-res audio as a standard and at no extra cost to subscribers to their current music streaming offerings. This will give them both a leg up over the competition, like Tidal and Deezer, which charge a premium for similar quality.

Amazon Music Unlimited Cost: Family Plan

If you’re looking to kit the whole family out with the latest tunes, the family plan may be better suited. This plan on Amazon Music Unlimited costs $14.99 / £14.99 / AU$17.99 a month, and offers up to six accounts for unlimited use by your family. Again, that price is comparable to Spotify and Apple Music’s own offering.

Even if just one more person is going to be using your Amazon Music Unlimited account, that price makes a family plan worth it. You’re paying an extra $5 / £5 for the full six-accounts, which makes it cost-effective whether you use all of them or not.

Plus, you can still upgrade to Amazon Music HD for just a little bit extra each month, which adds plenty of value over other premium music streaming services.

Who Is Music Unlimited Best For

If you’re a Prime subscriber, especially if you’ve got Alexa-enabled devices, you should seriously consider Music Unlimited. Not only will you save $2 per month over Spotify Unlimited or Apple Music, but you’ll be using a service that’s made for the speakers you’ve peppered your home with.

Also, one last note: if you know the difference between Garth Brooks and Chris Gaines, Amazon Music Unlimited is definitely right for you. That’s because it’s the only service that streams all 16 of the country western superstar’s studio albums.

How Does Amazon Music Pay Artists

Amazon Music HD / Ultra HD Music Review

Amazon pays artists $00.00402 per stream. You would need at least 366,169 streams to earn a monthly living wage in the US from Amazon streams. Artists are paid performance and mechanical royalties from their respective collection society. Payments are usually made quarterly.

Amazon Music Hd: Verdict

With 90 days free, what’s to lose?

With the maximum standard price for music streaming being the £10 that Spotify charges, Amazon is taking a bit of a punt here. Yes, £12 to £15 is cheaper than Tidal’s £20 but all you ever hear about Tidal is how it’s struggling financially. It may turn out that the public just can’t be bothered to pay more for higher quality streaming. Most people, it’s worth remembering, use the earbuds that came with their phones, or their phone’s speaker, and listen to music via YouTube.

Conclusion: most people are complete idiots.

However, if you are not a complete idiot, I urge you to give Amazon Music HD a try. It deserves to succeed.

Please note: I’ve held off giving a star rating for Amazon Music HD for now, as we have yet to try it for long enough to assess how it streams outside of my house, and as noted I haven’t really been able to listen properly to the UHD content. On what I’ve heard so far, for the price, it’s a nailed-on certainty for 5-star glory.

Amazon Music Unlimited Mobile Apps

Amazon Music Unlimited has both an Android app and an iOS app. We tested the Android version on our smartphone and discovered that it closely duplicated the Music Unlimited desktop experience. The app contains copious playlists, useful recommendations, and a music store for making purchases. It contains lyrics, too.

In addition, you can use Amazon’s Alexa tech to search for songs by lyrics or to play tracks and playlists. For example, when we asked Alexa for dinner music, it supplied a laid back, easy listening playlist.

Unless you’re a vinyl connoisseur, odds are your physical music collection is pretty sparse. And unless you’ve managed to keep your iPod from giving up the ghost, you probably aren’t exactly swimming in MP3s either. Thankfully music streaming services, for better or worse, have managed to fill that gap, putting a virtually limitless supply of music at your fingertips.

Something to bear in mind is that while you can download and cache songs on your computer or mobile device, you technically won’t own any of the music you download. For instance, Emusic only allows you to download a song once per purchase.

While this may sound a bit oppressive, subscribing to a streaming service is a convenient way to access music just about anywhere, and in most cases are a better alternative to maintaining a vast physical music library.

    • Launch the iTunes Store from your Home screen.
    • Go to the music, movie, or TV show you’d like to send as a gift.
    • Tap the button. It’s a square containing an upward-pointing arrow.
    • Tap Gift.
    • Enter the email address of the gift’s recipient. Enter a message if you’d like.
    • Tap Today if you’d like to send the gift today or to choose a different date.
    • Swipe up and down on the date picker to choose a new date.
    • Tap Next in the top right corner.
    • Swipe to choose a theme.
    • Tap Next in the top right corner.
    • Tap Buy in the top right corner, once you’ve confirmed your purchase details.

The person will receive a download link in their email, which they can use to retrieve the gifted content.

How To Add Music Using A Sticker In Instagram Stories

How To Add Music To Instagram Story

If you choose your video clip or photo first when creating your Story, you can easily add music afterwards by using a sticker. Heres how to do it:

  • Choose a photo or video for your Story.
  • Tap on the Sticker icon.
  • Tap Music.
  • Choose a track to accompany your Instagram Story.
  • Choose the part of the song you want to use and add it to your Story.
  • How Do You Open Spotify Songs From Stories

Once you share a particular song from Spotify, you have the option of opening it from your Instagram. This option is also available for your followers, who might be interested in the song you just posted.

To open Spotify from Instagram, you simply need to:

  • Open your story.
  • Tap on the Play on Spotify option below your name.
  • Tap Open Spotify.
  • The song will be immediately opened on your Spotify. Keep in mind that you need to be logged in for this to work.

Note: Instagram users without a Spotify account wont be able to do this.

Best Practices For Using Music In Your Instagram Stories

Remember to keep your audience in mind when you create an Instagram Story with music. Your artistry may not quite match that of a famous film or TV music composer, and your video will be considerably shorter, but you still want your music to match your visuals.

In some ways, the short period of an Instagram Stories clip is harder than with a long video. You need to limit yourself to a section of a song that fits logically with your image. It’s probably easier to do this with a picture, where you have the same image fro 15 seconds than with a video that can last for any length up to 15 seconds.

Unless you are looking for a specific lyric section to match your Story image, you need to ensure that you can find a clip with a definite part of music you can use. You don’t want to break into a section of music, and you don’t want to finish abruptly when your time runs out.

A common practice is to start a song at the beginning of its chorus. Hopefully, you can stop it at the end of a line, or at least avoid finishing mid-word abruptly.

Take the effort to style the Music sticker, so it doesn’t detract from your Story. You can select from three styles: Normal, Transparent, or Square. You can position the sticker anywhere you want on your screen and alter its size to ensure that it doesn’t cover up anything you want people to see clearly.

Make sure that you preview your Story first, to check to see that the music works with your images/videos.

This Is Still Only Available In Select Countries

Lyrics are still a relatively new addition to music in Instagram Stories. The company is gradually rolling out the feature across select countries.

One reason for this gradual release could be the thorny issue of music rights. Presumably, Instagram has made licensing agreements with music companies, and they will have to be negotiated separately for each region. The first countries to access Instagram Music are Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Sweden, the UK, and the USA. Presumably, other countries will be added to this list when legal issues are sorted.

Several websites have suggested a workaround for this limitation if you live outside the official nations. According to Techwiser, you should follow these steps:

  • Uninstall your existing Instagram app
  • Use a VPN on your phone. You should find a suitable VPN by searching if you don’t already have one of choice. There are both free and paid alternatives
  • Connect to a server from one of the “legitimate” countries
  • Follow the VPS’s instructions to ensure that it’s running properly
  • Go to your app store and reinstall Instagram
  • Log into your account
  • At this point, you should be able to create a Story with music by following the instructions above. Make sure that you can see the Music tab on the bottom left as you create your Story.

    Choose The Music Clip Wisely

When you are posting images to an Instagram Story, you can only add music to your Stories for 15 seconds. Thats short, so you need to make it count.

Make sure you pick the best part of the song or the one that matches your Instagram Story. That way, the music wont stop abruptly when the 15 seconds is up and you wont break into another section of the music along the line.

A common practice is to start the music for your Instagram Story when the chorus begins. Instagram makes it easy for you to find that part in a song. Just look for a pink marking in the song timeline when you add music. It indicates where the chorus begins.
